{"id":4510,"date":"2013-10-15T21:46:30","date_gmt":"2013-10-16T04:46:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.outdoorcookingmagic.com\/?p=4510"},"modified":"2014-06-29T22:16:16","modified_gmt":"2014-06-30T05:16:16","slug":"try-smoked-potatoes-great-flavor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.outdoorcookingmagic.com\/try-smoked-potatoes-great-flavor\/","title":{"rendered":"Try Smoked Potatoes for a Great Flavor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-4511\" src=\"http:\/\/www.outdoorcookingmagic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Smoked-Potatoes-300x217.jpg\" alt=\"Smoked Potatoes\" width=\"300\" height=\"217\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.outdoorcookingmagic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Smoked-Potatoes-300x217.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.outdoorcookingmagic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Smoked-Potatoes.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>I always say that it always tastes better when it's cooked outdoors and that definitely goes for potatoes. \u00a0I love cooking them on the grill, but recently I tried adding some smoke and the result was wonderful. \u00a0I loved the extra flavor it gave. \u00a0It's pretty simple to do. \u00a0Start with some washed russet potatoes, brush with olive oil, sprinkle with coarse salt and coarsely ground pepper and put on the grill. \u00a0Make sure you put them in the indirect zone, which is NOT the zone that is over the flame or coals.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>To add the smoky flavor, either toss some wood chips on the charcoal or create a foil pouch with wood chips.
