margin: 0px !important;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=outdoorcookingmagic-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=1599559714\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" \/>\u00a0by Mark Hansen. \u00a0\u00a0I had heard or read that Mark was writing a book and wondered if this was it. \u00a0Mark's blog, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marksblackpot.com\/\">Mark's Black Pot: Dutch Oven Recipes &amp; Cooking<\/a> is one of oldest Dutch oven cooking blogs on the web. \u00a0I've followed it for some time and met Mark at a Dutch Oven Gathering (or DOG as it's called) last year where he was cooking a turkey in a LARGE dutch oven.<\/p>\n<p>Sure enough, this was the book! \u00a0I bought it and start reading. \u00a0This is not your normal cookbook. \u00a0Not only does it have a ton of recipes in it, Mark has also provided a mountain of information and tips about cooking with a Dutch oven.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>It's written in a folksie style and is a fun read, not what you generally expect from a cookbook. \u00a0 \u00a0While I haven't tried any of the recipes quite yet, they sound fabulous and I've loved the tips that I've read. \u00a0He even points us to some of us favorite resources, and I've loved what he's shared so far.<\/p>\n<p>For example, he mentioned the show America's Test Kitchen as a place where they talk about some of the science behind cooking. \u00a0I checked it out, watched some of the videos, and I'm hooked. \u00a0The things they share on that show have been amazing. \u00a0It's definitely my kind of show.<\/p>\n<p>Mark mixes not only his personal cooking stories, but successes and challenges and tells how he adapted recipes to cook in the Dutch oven. \u00a0I can't wait to try some of these and add to my reportoire.<\/p>\n<p>All in all, a highly recommended book that I'm sure you will enjoy as well. \u00a0 Amazon has it, so if you click <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/1599559714\/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=outdoorcookingmagic-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=1599559714\">here<\/a>, you can \"read more about it\"!<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/1599559714\/ref=as_li_tf_il?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=outdoorcookingmagic-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=1599559714\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ws.assoc-amazon.com\/widgets\/q?_encoding=UTF8&amp;Format=_SL160_&amp;ASIN=1599559714&amp;MarketPlace=US&amp;ID=AsinImage&amp;WS=1&amp;tag=outdoorcookingmagic-20&amp;ServiceVersion=20070822\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none !important;
