Grilling 2011 Reader's Choice Awards<\/a> to vote for your favorite products.\u00a0 Categories include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Charcoal Grill<\/li>\n<li>Gas Grill<\/li>\n<li>Backyard Smoker<\/li>\n<li>Competition Smoker<\/li>\n<li>Barbecue Sauce<\/li>\n<li>Barbecue Rub<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The top 5 candidates (from hundreds of nominations) have been selected and now you get the chance to vote!\u00a0 Voting continues until midnight March 8 and the results will be announced on March 15th.\u00a0 I'll have information about the results and some comments so be sure and check back.\u00a0 In nothing else, you might find an interesting grill, smoker, sauce, or rub that you would like to try.<\/p>\n<h2>Mark's Black Pot<\/h2>\n<p>One of my favorite ways to cook outdoors is with a dutch oven.\u00a0 You can cook almost anything in it.\u00a0 I happened on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marksblackpot.com\/\">Mark's Black Pot blog<\/a> and it looks like it has some great dutch oven dishes.\u00a0 He's got a ton of great recipes and information about cooking with a dutch oven.\u00a0 I know that this type of cooking is more popular in the west (in fact, many people in the east seem to never have heard much about dutch oven cooking, a shame, since some of the best food is cooked in a dutch oven).<\/p>\n<p>I found Mark's blog because of a post he had about the <a href=\"http:\/\/forums.idos.org\/viewtopic.php?f=3&amp;t=974\">2011 International Dutch Oven Society Spring Gathering and Open House<\/a> (I'll bet there's a lot of people that didn't even know there was an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.idos.org\/\">International Dutch Oven Society<\/a>!)\u00a0 I'm going to try and get to that event in April and let you know how it goes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.idos.org\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1838 alignnone\" style=\"margin: 10px;\" title=\"International Dutch Oven Society\" src=\"http:\/\/www.outdoorcookingmagic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/IDOSLogo3.png\" alt=\"International Dutch Oven Society\" width=\"595\" height=\"53\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.outdoorcookingmagic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/IDOSLogo3.png 850w, https:\/\/www.outdoorcookingmagic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/IDOSLogo3-300x26.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 595px) 100vw, 595px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, I hope you'll take a minute and look at some of the great recipes and posts that Mark has on his blog as well as looking at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.outdoorcookingmagic.com\/dutch-oven-recipes\/\">dutch oven recipes<\/a> that I have here at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.outdoorcookingmagic.com\/\">Outdoor Cooking Magic<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"signature\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.outdoorcookingmagic.com\/images\/scottsig.png\" alt=\"Scott\" height=\"35\" width=\"86\" \/><br \/><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fun information from around the web: an innovative new vertical grill, the 2011 Barbecue &#038;
